NEED ADVICE: Linux Hosting or Windows Hosting?

I like to get a web host, hope you guys can help me choose.

But I need your opinion if I should get a Linux hosting or Windows Hosting?

I%26#039;ve read articles online, but it%26#039;ll be nice to hear your opinions.

Easy choice, the only reason you would want to go with Windows hosting is if you are planning on using ASP.net or MSSQL. If you do not plan on using either of those stick with Linux hosting and here is why:

Linux hosting is:

- More stable than windows hosting generally.

- Cheaper as it is free

- Easier to manage in most cases so a lot more competition among hosts.

I have active accounts with both.

Since I write code in ASP, windows has been better to create my own code. However, to use free website engines such as wordpress, joomla, phpnuke, mediawiki, and others, linux has worked better.

IMHO, Linux hosting is better than Windows especially if you are not going to program in ASP.

Other Replys:Depends on what you will be doing. If you%26#039;re doing anything with asp, you%26#039;ll have to get Window%26#039;s hosting. I use php and mysql and so linux hosting is fine for me. Also, linux is alot more stable and usually has more uptime.
